Each year, installer members of SPATA (Swimming Pool & Allied Trades Association) are invited to submit entries to the Association to be considered for a national award. With some contractors operating in Central London where budgets are frequently sky high, there are a number of categories which also allow more modest projects to be judged. Each submission is scrutinised by a panel of industry experts who consider technical aspects, construction techniques, innovation incorporated into the design, quality of workmanship, value for money and finally the overall appearance and how it blends into the surrounding landscape.
Cresta Leisure received their first SPATA award in 1989 and now has too many to list on this page! We are particularly proud of our two Pool Contractor Of The Year awards, in 2016 and 2012, as one of only two companies to ever achieve this honour, and our five Category Wins in 2025. We are also delighted that Chris Davies won the Paul Kite Award for Pool Star of the Year in 2023, after only a couple of years in the industry. We do not submit entries every year, but the selection below illustrates the wide range of pools for which we have been honoured in recent times.

In 2012 Cresta Leisure received the national award for Commercial Air Source Heat Pump Installation of the Year. Cresta was commended for their innovative approach in utilising the warm, damp air usually expelled from an indoor commercial swimming pool ventilation system into the atmosphere. The Cresta design incorporates a 140kw air source heat pump which recovers this heat. The heat pump converts the warm air to hot water which is pumped to a 3,000 litre buffer tank. The buffer tank contains hot water which provides heat for all the heating services within the building, including and hot water for the showers.
