With great sadness we pass on the news that Cresta Leisure founder, Tim Bareham, died peacefully at home on 29th December. Tim set up Cresta Leisure in 1986 and created an enormously successful and highly respected business. He passed over the reins of Managing Director to Simon three years ago, but remained active in the business and the industry as a whole until the end. He will be greatly missed by all.

We are delighted to announce that Róisín and Joe were blessed with a beautiful baby girl in October of last year, named Beatrice Rose. They are a very happy little family and we are thrilled for them all. Róisín will be returning to the office at the end of February, ready for the new season ahead.

Billie has worked for Cresta for 25 years and has seen her role change from overseeing garden buildings through to swimming pools and everything in between. Over recent years she has been ‘preparing’ Róisín, Chris & Simon for her retirement and the invaluable expertise and support that she brings to Cresta has been essential for the transitional period between Tim and Simon. She now feels the time is right to leave the team and start to enjoy life after work. Surrounded by a close family and the beauties of West Dorset, Billie will be enjoying life walking her beloved spaniel and not having to worry about what the service engineers are up to. Simon says, ‘I’m going to really miss her support, encouragement and worldly wisdom, but wish her a very well-deserved retirement!’

In preparation for Billie’s retirement, Chris joined the office team on a full time basis. He is our ‘front of house’ and under Billie’s tutorage has quickly learnt many of the shop and service aspects of the business. Hannah has already been with us for six months and we’ve all been impressed with her efficiency and organisational skills. She is now tackling the challenging task of coordinating the Heating Service department.
